Boeing [BA] and Lockheed Martin [LMT] declined to protest after missing out on NASA’s Cargo Resupply Services-2 (CRS-2) contract awards, company spokeswomen said Tuesday.

Sierra Nevada Corp. (SNC), Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) and Orbital ATK [OA] were awarded contracts for NASA’s follow-up effort to deliver food and supplies to the International Space Station (ISS). SpaceX and Orbital ATK are incumbents from CRS-1. SNC bid for CRS-1, but was not awarded a contract.

NASA said it selected proposals based on best value and that missions will run through 2024. CRS-2 is different from CRS-1 as CRS-2 has more mission types, which allows NASA the flexibility to mix and match flights and missions to meet its needs.

Companies have 10 days to file a bid protest with the Government Accountability Office (GAO). Contracts were awarded Jan. 14.
