In Brussels today NATO formally launches the process leading to a new Strategic Concept and opens a dialogue with the public. The Strategic Concept is the alliance's statement of objectives and provides the highest level of guidance on the political and military means to be used in achieving them. It also describes NATO's fundamental security tasks and is the basis for the implementation of Alliance policy as a whole. It is one of the key policy documents of the Alliance.…
