NASA is poised to launch two satellites next month to increase knowledge of the moon. The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, or LRO, and the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite, or LCROSS, will launch together June 17 atop an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
