Moog Plans To Acquire GE Aviation Unit In U.K.

Moog Inc. [MOG.A] on Friday said it is in discussions with General Electric's [GE] Aviation Systems unit to acquire a flight control actuation product line based in the United Kingdom that was part of GE's purchase of Smiths Aerospace in 2007. Terms of the possible deal were not disclosed. Moog and GE have began to regulatory filing process and plan to sign a definitive purchase agreement soon, Moog said.
