Large Sidewinder Missile Sale For Dutch Approved By State Department

The State Department last Friday approved a potential $691 million foreign military sale (FMS) of AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II short-range air-to-air missiles and related equipment to the Netherlands, a deal that adds on to what looks to be a record in annual FMS cases. The potential Dutch Sidewinder sale, which still requires congressional approval, includes 246 missiles, six captive carry training missiles, two special air training missiles, 14 tactical guidance kits, two captive air training missile guidance kits, and assorted…
