Kaman To Acquire Composites Firm

Kaman [KAMN] yesterday said it has agreed to acquire Vermont Composites, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of composite aerostructures and composite medical equipment, boosting its capabilities in composites. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Vermont Composites has 230 employees and is expected to have about $32 million in sales this year. Vermont Composites makes flight structures, lightweight electronics enclosures and space structures.
