House GOP Scraps Planned Vote On Six-Month CR Proposal

House Republicans on Wednesday scrapped plans for a vote on their sixth-month continuing resolution proposal amid mounting opposition, with the lower chamber’s top Democratic appropriator calling for bipartisan negotiation on a stopgap funding measure to avoid a shutdown. “For the good of the American people, Congress must move on from House Republicans’ partisan continuing resolution proposals and begin negotiating a funding bill that can earn the support of both Democrats and Republicans in the House and the Senate,” Rep.
