House Appropriators Approve $66 Billion DHS Bill For FY ‘26

Following a lengthy session Tuesday, the House Appropriations Committee approved its version of the Fiscal Year 2026 Homeland Security Appropriations Act, sending the $66.4 billion bill to the full House for consideration. The non-defense discretionary portion of the bill is $63.1 billion, nearly $1.4 billion or 2 percent higher than FY ’25 levels. The bill was approved along party lines by a vote of 36 to 27 with Republicans for and Democrats opposed. Senate appropriators have yet to mark up…
