The House Armed Services Committee’s (HASC) Republicans have received their subcommittee assignments, Ranking Member John McHugh (R-N.Y.) said yesterday, the day after a HASC organizational meeting for the new session of Congress.

The GOP assignments are:

Seapower and Expeditionary Forces subcommittee, under Ranking Member Todd Akin (Mo.): Reps. Robert Wittman (Va.), Roscoe Bartlett (Md.), Randy Forbes (Va.), Duncan D. Hunter (Calif.), Mike Coffman (Colo.), and Tom Rooney (Fla.).

Air and Land Forces subcommittee, under Ranking Member Bartlett: Reps. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (Wash.), Mary Fallin (Okla.), Hunter, John Fleming (La.), Coffman, Howard McKeon (Calf.), Akin, Jeff Miller (Fla.), Joe Wilson (S.C.) , Frank LoBiondo (N.J.), Rob Bishop (Utah), and Michael Turner (Ohio).

Strategic Forces subcommittee, under Ranking Member Turner: Reps. McKeon, Mac Thornberry (Texas), Trent Franks (Ariz.), and Doug Lamborn (Colo.).

Terrorism and Unconventional Threats and Capabilities subcommittee, under Ranking Member Miller: Reps. LoBiondo (N.J.), John Kline (Minn.), Bill Shuster (Pa.), Michael Conaway (Texax), Rooney, and Thornberry.

Readiness Subcommittee, under Ranking Member Forbes: Reps. Bishop, Mike Rogers (Ala.), Franks, Shuster, McMorris Rodgers, Conaway, Lamborn, Wittman, Fallin, Fleming, and LoBiondo.

Military Personnel subcommittee, under Ranking Member Wilson: Reps. Walter Jones (N.C.), Kline, Rooney, Wittman, and Fallin.

The Republican leadership and membership of the HASC’s Oversight and Investigations subcommittee was not available as of press time.

The HASC’s new Democratic subcommittee assignments were announced Wednesday (Defense Daily, Jan. 15). The lineup of Democratic subcommittee chairmen is the same as it was last session.
