GE Launches StreetLab Mobile for Substance ID

General Electric's [GE] Security business has introduced a new version of its StreetLab substance identification system, the StreetLab Mobile. Capable of detecting unknown chemical and biological agents in the field, GE says StreetLab Mobile is the first point and shoot handheld identity system. The Raman spectroscopy-based system uses extended range wireless technology to allow first responders to delivery results to remote command centers.
