GD Bath Iron Works Reaches Two Navy Vessel Milestones

Last week General Dynamics’ [GD] Bath Iron Works (BIW) marked milestones for two U.S. Navy vessels: the keel laying of the future Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Daniel Inouye (DDG-118) and the starts of fabrication of the future USS Harvey C. Barnum Jr. (DDG-124).DDG-118 is named after World War II Medal of Honor recipient and longtime Senator from Hawaii Daniel Inouye (D). The keel laying occurred on May 15 and with it the company said the ship is now half completed.…
