Performance Issues Force Coast Guard To Stop Work On Two OPCs; First Ship Likely Delayed

The Coast Guard has issued stop work orders to Eastern Shipbuilding Group for the third and fourth Offshore Patrol Cutters (OPCs) due to performance issues, and the first ship is behind schedule and unlikely to be delivered this year as planned, the acting service commandant and a House member said on Thursday.
