Forcepoint New Name For Raytheon’s Commercial Cyber Security Company

Raytheon [RTN] on Thursday said that its Raytheon/Websense company has been rebranded and renamed Forcepoint, which brings its “defense-inspired” cyber security capabilities to the commercial market.Forcepoint is majority-owned by Raytheon and includes Vista Equity Partners as a minority owner. Forcepoint brings together Raytheon’s Cyber Products business, Websense, which Raytheon acquired a majority stake in from Vista last year, and Stonesoft and Sidewinder business lines that were acquired this month from Intel [INTC].“Forcepoint’s platform empowers organizations to concentrate on business execution…
