Final Defense Authorization Bill Could Emerge Today

Lawmakers could unveil today the Pentagon policy bill they will send to President Barack Obama, with hopes he won’t follow through with previous threats to veto the long-delayed legislation. A conference committee of House and Senate armed services committee is aiming to sign off on the final version of the fiscal year 2013 defense authorization bill before day’s end, lawmakers and aides said.
