F-35s Remain Grounded, Air Force No-Fly Streak Hits 15 Days

The Defense Department’s F-35 fleet remained grounded Tuesday, according to spokespersons from the Air Force and Navy, with the Air Force’s F-35As hitting a no-fly streak of 15 consecutive days. DoD said last week technical air worthiness authorities of the Air Force and Navy grounded their fleets based on initial findings from a runway fire incident that occurred June 23 at Eglin AFB, Fla.
