DIU To Help Defense Startups Better Leverage Trusted Engineering, Manufacturing Capabilities

The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) in January plans to release a solicitation aimed at helping startups in the early stages of growth to find and work with companies that provide digital engineering tools and advanced manufacturing capabilities that would aid them in their operations, the DIU chief said last Saturday. The upcoming commercial solutions opening (CSO) would be done through DIU’s Blue Manufacturing initiative launched in August that vets companies that provide products and capabilities that include digital engineering, robotics…
