Air Force Gen. Kevin Chilton assumed command of U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM) yesterday, taking the helm from Air Force Lt. Gen. Robert Kehler, who has been leading the command on an interim basis while Chilton's nomination stood before the Senate.
