The Defense Department’s Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) on Wednesday stood up a new unit charged with accelerating the adoption of advanced generative AI technologies in use cases applied to warfighting and enterprise management. The AI Rapid Capabilities Cell (RCC) will apply GenAI to 15 use cases using $100 million across fiscal years 2024 and 2025 for the creation of pilot efforts, a secure digital sandbox to develop pilots, user-centric experiments, and awards to small businesses to create…
