Booz Allen Hamilton [BAH] on Monday said it has acquired PAR Government Systems Corporation (PGSC) in a deal that will provide more defense technology solutions to the tactical edge.

PGSC was a subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation

[PAR], which said the $95 million cash transaction closed on June 7. PAR is honing its focus on its core business of providing software and hardware solutions to the restaurant industry.

Based in Rome, N.Y., PGSC has capabilities in small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) and counter-sUAS, edge computing, augmented reality, Team Awareness Kit solutions, data science, and mission readiness. Booz Allen said it will leverage PGSC’s capabilities with its mission expertise.

Booz Allen also said that PGSC has a suite of imagery and communications tools that complement its space data solutions for situational awareness.

PGSC will report within Booz Allen’s global defense business. PGSC has about 200 employees.

“This acquisition reinforces Booz Allen’s commitment to help accelerate the modernization of tactical warfighting mission systems and secure the future,” Judi Dotson, president of the global defense sector, said in a statement.

Jefferies served as Booz Allen’s financial adviser on the deal.
