Australian Airports Order Rapiscan’s MVXR5000s

OSI Systems' [OSIS] Rapiscan division has received contracts worth about $4 million from six regional airports in Australia for its MVXR5000 inline automated hold baggage X-Ray screening systems. The systems are to be installed by Dec. 1. Australia mandated in May 2007 that select regional airports provide 100 percent inspection of checked baggage by Dec. 2008.
