Army A ‘Target Rich Environment’ For New Energy Initiatives, McHugh Says

Army Secretary John McHugh yesterday unveiled the Energy Initiatives Office (EIO) Task Force, an innovative new project for partnering with the private sector to manage the development of large-scale renewable energy projects, expected to be up and running Sept. 15. “We view ourselves as a target rich environment in terms of trying to do a better job with taxpayer dollars, trying to do a better job in the stewardship of the environment,” McHugh said in a teleconference from the GovEnergy…
