The Safran Group says that its U.S.-based electronics and avionics business has received a five-year subcontract from the Airbus Group to provide contractor logistics services for the U.S. Army’s fleet of UH-72A Lakota light utility helicopters.Terms of the subcontract were not disclosed.The Army in December 2016 awarded Airbus Helicopters a five-year contract for the logistics services and Airbus Helicopters is subcontracting with Safran as a direct supplier in support of the Lakota fleet.
