The Air Force is building a draft requirements document for a close air support (CAS) aircraft that could eventually follow the A-10, according to a key officer.Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Plans and Requirements Lt. Gen. Mike Holmes told reporters Thursday the service is looking for the “sweet spot” between what is available now and what would be the optimum CAS replacement.
