Air Force Awards Northrop Grumman Potential $10 Billion Contract For B-2 Modernization

The Air Force Tuesday awarded Northrop Grumman [NOC] a contract worth potentially $9.9 billion for B-2 modernization and sustainment. The contract is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract and base period work is to be completed by May 2019. But the Air Force said if an option is exercised, the work is to be completed by May 2024. This award was also sole-sourced. Northrop Grumman developed the B-2 bomber.
