AeroVironment Says U.S. Army Has Lifted Bid Protest Stop Worker Order for Switchblade

Arlington, Va.-based AeroVironment [AVAV] said on Monday that the U.S. Army has lifted a stop work order for the company's Switchblade kamikaze drones under an up to $990 million, five-year contract awarded to the company in August. Maryland-based Mistral Inc. filed a protest on Sept. 6 with the Government Accountability Office (GAO) on the Army award to AeroVironment for the Switchblade drones, which Ukraine has used in its efforts to repel Russia.
