The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) related to Automated Passenger Wait Times Data Collection (APWTDC) systems for the tracking of wait times at airport security checkpoints. The preliminary goal of the APWTDC is a system capable of collecting wait times in an automated fashion, which provides real time data reporting on an hourly basis at a minimum, and in a format that can be posted in a web-based application.
