DJI Introduces Drone Solution for Government Programs

Chinese civilian drone manufacturer DJI has introduced a new architecture to ensure that drone data, including images captured during flight, never leave the drone and cannot be shared with unauthorized third parties, including the company. DJI says its Government Edition was created for use in high-security situations by government agencies globally. The company says its Government Edition meets requirements for U.S. government audits for data management, risk mitigation, and enterprise-level data sharing control. “DGI Government Edition allows government agencies to serve the public more efficiently and effectively using the industry’s most widely-adopted drone technology, while maintaining total control over their data,” says Mario Rebello, vice president and regional manager of North America for DNI. “This is DJI’s most secure drone solution to date because it prevents users from accidentally or even intentionally transferring data off the drone to other parties.”
