Serco Awarded $51 Million Contract For Shipboard CIWS Support

IT service management company Serco, Inc. said on Tuesday it's been awarded a $51 million single-award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to continue providing installation support for Close-In Weapons Systems (CIWS) on U.S. Army, Navy and Coast Guard vessels.The contract has a one-year base period plus four one-year option periods, with a ceiling value of $51 million if all options are exercised.Serco will receive task orders to perform installations, upgrades and modifications to the CIWS, a shipboard point-defense weapon that…
