Senate Strikes Biofuels Limits From Defense Bill

The Senate started debating the defense authorization bill yesterday, when it voted to support the Pentagon’s alternative-energy efforts and waded through sundry amendments on topics including an East Coast missile defense site and C-23 aircraft. The Pentagon policy-setting legislation covers fiscal year 2013, which started Oct. 1. The chamber was able to take it up after Sen.
