SAIC To Acquire Military Training Firm Icon Systems

SAIC [SAI] yesterday said it has agreed to acquire Icon Systems, Inc., a small San Diego-based firm specializing in the development and production of laser-based systems and products for military training and testing. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Icon has about 100 employees. The transaction is expected to close next month, subject to customary closing conditions including termination or expiration of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.
