SAIC Bolstering Presence In Healthcare Business With maxIT Acquisition

With a new business strategy in place, SAIC [SAI] yesterday said it has agreed to acquire the healthcare information technology (IT) consulting firm maxIT for $473 million as part of the company’s plan to expand in high growth markets. The purchase of maxIT would significantly expand SAIC’s healthcare business, which currently stands at about $650 million in annual sales and would expand to about $900 million after the deal closes, according to J.P. Morgan aerospace and defense analyst Joseph Nadol.…
