RTX Posts Strong Second Quarter But Lowers Earnings Outlook On Tariff Headwinds

RTX [RTX] on Tuesday reported strong top and bottom-line gains in its second quarter led by its defense and Collins Aerospace segments but the company lowered its earnings guidance for the year due to estimated tariff impacts. Adjusted per share earnings for 2025 are forecast to be in the range of $5.80 to $5.95, down 20 cents from the prior outlook of $6 to $6.20 earnings per share (EPS). “On the trade front, it continues to be fluid, but our…
