Delta Dental Community Care Foundation Partners with Military Associations to Provide Oral Health / Wellness Grants

ARLINGTON, Va., Oct. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — The Air Force Association (AFA) announced today that the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation has partnered with AFA along with the Association of the US Army (AUSA), Marine Corps League, Association of the United States Navy (AUSN), and the Coast Guard Foundation to provide wellness grants to members of each association.

“The Air Force Association takes great pride in supporting our military members, their families and veterans,” said General Larry Spencer, USAF Ret., AFA’s President. “The Delta Dental Community Care Foundation’s generous donation assists AFA in furthering our education mission by increasing benefits for our members.”

The support from the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation enables the joint military coalition to provide transitioning veterans, spouses and dependents from all the services an opportunity to apply for 50 $2,000 grants to help members reach their wellness goals whether that be through a training, certificate or diploma program.

“That’s $100,000 in education benefits to help those in need – an impressive amount indeed,” said Spencer.    

“We’re very proud to work with our nation’s military associations to make these oral health and wellness grants possible,” said Karen Robinson, executive director of the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation. “We strongly believe in the importance of education and these grants are meant to help ease the financial burden that comes with it for our brave veterans, military service members and their dependents.”
