Aviation, Aerospace & Defense Leader Expands Role at The Austin Company

West Coast industry veteran to become nationwide Program Director

IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 26, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — The Austin Company (www.theaustin.com), a leading full-service design-build and site location firm, is pleased to announce that Dan Wiegandt, AIA, LEED AP, has accepted the position of Program Director, Aviation, Aerospace & Defense. In this new role, Wiegandt will have nationwide responsibility for developing and implementing projects serving the aviation, aerospace and defense industries.

This newly created strategic position provides additional expertise and support for Austin’s aviation, aerospace and defense clients across Austin’s full breadth of design, engineering and construction services.

Wiegandt has been with The Austin Company for 28 years, most recently serving 15 years as the Engineering Manager of the Company’s Western Operations.

Wiegandt graduated with a Bachelor degree in architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He has held multiple roles during his tenure with Austin, including construction field engineer, designer, architect, project architect, project coordinator, project manager, program manager and design manager, before becoming engineering manager in 2003.

The Austin Company celebrated 100 years of service to the aviation, aerospace and defense industries in 2016.
