Official: Army’s Plan Remains ‘Buying Less’ JLTVs, Doesn’t Foresee Fleet Divestments

PITTSBURGH – An Army official on Tuesday said the plan remains “buying less” Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs), while affirming the service doesn’t envision divesting of the platforms currently in its fleet.  Col. Eric Anderson, the Army G-8’s division chief for capability development sustainment, offered the latest outlook on JLTV and Humvee plans after they were targeted for cuts as part of the Army Transformation Initiative (ATI) before lawmakers added funding for both in the final fiscal year 2026 defense…
