Leidos Posts Strong Second Quarter Results Led Again Health Business

Leidos [LDOS] on Tuesday reported strong second quarter financial results driven by its federal health services business combined with top-line growth across its business segments and improved operating margins. Net income increased 54 percent to $324 million, $2.37 earnings per share (EPS), from $210 million ($1.50 EPS) a year ago. Excluding acquisition and restructuring costs, and amortization, adjusted earnings of $2.63 EPS walloped consensus estimates by 36 cents per share.
