Ariane 5 To Launch Comms Satellite For Hispasat In Summer 2009 An Ariane 5 rocket will orbit the Amazonas-2 communications satellite for Hispasat in the summer of 2009, Arianespace announced. This was the 13th launch contract that Arianespace gained this year. The satellite will be launched from the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana, South America.
