General Atomics Acquires Swiss Opto-Electronics Company Synopta

General Atomics (GA) on Monday said it has acquired Synopta GmbH, a developer and supplier of opto-electronics instrumentation used in space and terrestrial applications, in a deal that complements GA’s existing technologies and improves its ability to provide complete subsystems to customers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Based in Switzerland, Synopta’s customers include European organization, national agencies and international companies in the defense, space and capital goods sectors.
