EF Johnson Technologies [EFJI] has received a $2 million task order from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to provide submersible Project 25 compliant radios and accessories as part of a $16 million contract the department awarded last year. The award is the third task order EJ Johnson has received from DHS under the contract. “Our Project 25 compliant radios feature the Enhanced P25 Vocoder, and with the immersion housing they meet military specifications 810C through 810F as well as the IP67 specification for submersibility,” says Michael Jalbert, chairman and CEO of EF Johnson. “The FIPS-compliant encryption algorithms provide the security that the customer requires.”
