The Department of Homeland Security's Science and Technology Directorate in collaboration with the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office of the Technical Support Working Group has issued a Request for Information (RFI) regarding standoff optical techniques for the detection of trace quantities of explosives on vehicles. The agencies are seeking technologies ranging from Technology Readiness Levels 2 through 9.
