The Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) branch is conducting market research on a wide variety of both advanced software algorithms and developmental algorithms concepts that are applicable to security screening, in order to improve threat detection, decrease false alarms, and increase overall throughput. S&T is gathering feasibility data through the Request for Information with a view to potentially license algorithms for use in security screening.
