DHS, Arizona Agree On Secure Drivers Licenses

The State of Arizona recentlyformally agreed to work with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on creating an Enhanced Drivers Licence (EDL) for its citizens that is compliant the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) and eventually making the license compliant with the requirements of REAL ID. Arizona plans to begin issuing the EDL licenses sometime next year.
