Datastrip, Inc., has introduced an upgraded version of its handheld biometric and card reader, the DSV2+TURBO, which is HSPD-12 approved. The new terminal is upgraded from the company's DSVII-SC readers, which aren't HSPD-12 certified. The new version is lighter weight and features a capacitive fingerprint sensor supplied by UPEK, Inc., rather than an optical one, and can process more types of cards.
