Congress Fully Funds Coast Guard Recapitalization Efforts In FY ’12 Budget

The Coast Guard acquisition budget for surface ships, aviation assets and C4ISR needs was essentially fully funded at $1.4 billion by Congress in the FY ’12 appropriations budget for the Department of Homeland Security that passed the Senate on Sunday and the House last Friday, helping the service maintain stability as it continues to recapitalize its operational platforms.
