Boeing Pitches Navy’s P-8 Program To Air Force

Boeing [BA] has been in "informal discussions" with the Air Force to persuade the service to adopt the Navy's P-8 program to replace the Joint Surveillance and Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) mission, a company executive said yesterday. Boeing has been developing the P-8 aircraft based on the 737-800 airframe for naval anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare.
