Boeing Delivers First Growler Under Multi-year Deal

Boeing [BA] delivered the first EA-18 G Growler under a third multi-year contract with the Navy. The contract calls for Boeing to provide 90 F/A-18 E and F Super Hornet variants as well as 58 EA-18Gs on purchases running through 2013. The Navy awarded the contract in 2010 and has an option to increase the total buys to 194 of the aircraft. EA-18Gs are a variance of the F/A18s with an electronic attack capability.
