BAE Systems Receives $22.9 Million For Mk 41 VLS Production

BAE Systems yesterday said it received a $22.9 million contract modification adding an additional ship set for DDG-116 and an additional set of Aegis Ashore equipment. This is a continuation of the Navy’s Mk 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) for the Arleigh Burke DDG-51 class re-start program. "We're thrilled to continue our support for the U.S. Navy by providing the Mk 41 VLS for the DDG-51 program," said Mark Signorelli, vice president and general manager of BAE's Weapons Systems business.…
