BAE Systems To Produce More MRAP SOCOM Vehicles For Marines

BAE Systems has received $179 million in delivery orders from the Marine Corps Systems Command to produce 32 U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Armored Utility Vehicles (AUV) and provide major upgrades to existing vehicles. The U.S. SOCOM AUV is one of several Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) variants based on the RG33 family of vehicles. To date, BAE has produced nearly 350 SOCOM MRAP vehicles.
