BAE Integrates MK 45 Naval Gun Into First UK Type 26 Frigate

BAE Systems said Monday it has started integrating the Mk 45 naval gun system onto the U.K. Royal Navy’s first City-class Type 26 frigate, the HMS Glasgow (F88). This milestone installation includes both the gun itself and the Ammunition Handling System (AHS), together called the Maritime Indirect Fire Systems (MIFS).
