ATK To Supply Ammunition For Afghan National Security Forces

By Ann Roosevelt ATK [ATK], in partnership with Allied Defense Group [ADG], has won an $87 million contract to supply various types of ammunition for the emerging requirements for the Afghan National Security Forces. Under the contract from the Army Sustainment Command in Rock Island, Ill., the company will supply non-standard, non-NATO ammunition, including from the former Eastern Bloc. ATK will utilize capable international manufacturers and distributors with the ability to supply non-standard small, medium, large caliber ammunition and rockets.…
